Welcome to the 2006/7 season

Welcome back. The 2006/7 season promises to be a memorable one. Glawster have secured Heineken Cup rugby and Dean Ryan has been busy recruiting some class players to bolster the playing staff. Some real oomph has been added to the pack with the signing of the two Italians, Marco Bortolami and Carlos Nieto, the veteran Frenchman, Christian Califano, and the quite fearsome looking Will James. In the backs we will be hoping to witness the re-emergence of Iain Balshaw as a truly world class game breaker. Willie Walker and Rory Lawson have also been signed give us more strength in depth in the squad.
During the season we will try to bring you coverage of as many matches as possible including the ‘A’ team games. We have started revamping the player profiles and all the pictures of current players will get changed shortly. We also plan to run a light-hearted competition every week – details will be posted shortly.
